Meet the course instructors

Takahashi sensei

As well as teaching Japanese for 15 years, I also have a specialization in teaching the Japanese Language for Foreign Workers. With our course, you won't learn only words and expressions, but also the aspects of Japanese business culture that will allow you to get fruitful relationships with clients, coworkers and business partners.

Asada sensei

I have been teaching Japanese for 14 years, during my career I also spent time running a cram school to help people find employment in Japan. Our course is great for anyone who wants to improve their professional Japanese level both for those currently using Japanese for work, and for those who want to work in Japan in the future.

Tamura sensei

I’ve been working at Intercultural Institute of Japan for 10 years and I’m in charge of the Japanese courses for corporate and business partners, we created this course to help more people improve their Business Japanese. I look after the Business Japanese student community and I hope by taking this course and connecting with other students you will be confident to realize your dreams of living and working in Japan and to achieve your career goals.

  • What will I learn on this course?

    With practical interactive lessons on topics that will improve your Japanese language skills for the workplace and teach you important etiquette including how to correctly use Keigo, Japanese Business manners for business meetings, effective communication for emails and phone conversations. This course is best for those who are already comfortable with Japanese at approximately JLPT N3 level. We will show you how to avoid the most common mistakes, give etiquette tips, and also give you a chance to practice your new skills with repetition exercises and homework. We also have a student community where you can interact with other students and your teachers.

  • Can anyone take this course?

    As much of the course content is written in Japanese, with some explanations in English to help you understand the course structure, we recommend that to get the most out of this course you should be able to understand JLPT N3 Japanese.

  • How much does the course cost?

    The four-week course costs ¥52,095 and you have access to the content and community for 12 weeks.

  • Will there be live classes on this course?

    The lessons are pre-recorded and created to help you learn as quickly as possible using our online platform but allows you to complete lessons at your own pace. However, you will be able to communicate with teachers from the Intercultural Institute of Japan through interactive lessons and in the community.

  • Will I get a certificate for finishing a course?

    You will get a certificate from the school once you have finished 100% of all the lessons and content in the course.

  • How do the online classes work?

    The course is build on a drop schedule with lessons releasing each week, until all the course content is available. You will have access to the materials for 3 months. So as long as you have a computer and a stable internet connection, you can take the course anywhere and at anytime you want! It is a self-paced course, so as long as you finish the course before the course expiry date, the learning schedule is very flexible.
